The Marketing Refresh Framework
Your Marketing
Isn’t Broken.
It’s just not connected.

Most established businesses don’t have a marketing problem. They have a marketing system problem. Activity is high, results are blurry, and no one can draw a clean line from spend to revenue. The Refresh Framework is how we fix that.

Sound Familiar?
You’ve Probably
Been Here Before
You hired an agency. They built a plan, ran some campaigns, sent monthly reports full of numbers that didn’t quite answer your actual question: is this working? Maybe results came in, maybe they didn’t, but either way, you couldn’t tell why.
That’s not a you problem. It’s how most agencies are built. They sell services in isolation, optimize for the metrics that make them look good, and treat your marketing like a collection of activities instead of a connected system that’s supposed to grow your business.
Let’s give you a trusted roadmap
Five Stages. One System. Built around your business.
The Refresh
Framework
We don’t sell services off a menu. We run a process. Every engagement starts with a diagnosis, follows a deliberate sequence, and ties every piece of work back to the outcome you actually care about.
It’s how we make sure the writing, the ads, the automation, and the reporting are all pulling in the same direction.
Five Stages.
One Direction.
Read left to right. Diagnose first, measure last. Every engagement passes through, every dollar accounted for at the end.
Stage 01
Diagnose
Where we start
We dig into your current marketing and figure out what’s actually working, what’s leaking, and where the highest-leverage moves are. The deliverable is the Marketing Focus Snapshot: a written report with prioritized recommendations and a clear plan for what comes next.

The Foundation
Before we can drive traffic, your brand needs the assets to convert it. Photography, video, written content, landing pages, social-ready creative. We produce what’s missing so the rest of the framework has fuel.

Exposure
This is where most agencies start, and it’s why most agencies fail. Once the foundation is solid, we put your brand in front of the audiences most likely to buy: organic on the channels that fit you, paid on the platforms with the cleanest ROI.

Turn attention into customers.
A click is not a customer. We build the systems that move someone from interested to paying: nurture sequences, lifecycle email, automated follow-up, conversion paths that actually convert.

The Marketing
Focus Snapshot.
The Snapshot is how nearly every Edge One engagement begins. A paid, productized diagnostic that gives you a clear-eyed read on your current marketing and a prioritized plan for what to do next.
What’s included:
- Audit of your current marketing across web, ads, social, email, and analytics
- Competitive and audience analysis specific to your market
- A written report with prioritized recommendations
- A 60-minute review session to walk through findings together

What you walk away with
A document you can act on whether you work with us or not. No retainer required, no commitment, no upsell pressure. If we’re a fit, the Snapshot becomes the roadmap for our engagement. If we’re not, you still own the analysis.
Services A-La-Carte
Already Know What You Need?
Most clients start with the Snapshot because it tells us where to focus. But if you’ve already done the diagnostic work and know which lever you want to pull, you can engage us directly on a single service. We’ll still ask a few questions before we start.
Marketing Focus Snapshot
The diagnostic. A written report and review session that pinpoints what to fix and what to scale.
Social Media
Content strategy, creation, and scheduling across the platforms where your audience actually spends time.
Digital Ads / PPC
Paid campaigns on Google, Meta, and beyond. Built for measurable return, not vanity metrics.
Marketing Automation
Email sequences, lifecycle campaigns, and conversion systems that move prospects through your funnel without manual lift.
Media Day
A focused production engagement that captures a quarter’s worth of brand assets in a single day.
Google Ad Reports
Monthly performance reporting designed for business owners, not analysts. Built so you actually understand what your ad spend is doing.

Not Sure Where You Fit?
You can engage us for the full framework or for a single piece of it. Either way, we start with a quick conversation about your goals so we don’t waste anyone’s time. If you have specific questions about how it works, the FAQ below covers what we hear most often.

FAQ
Common Questions
Not at all. Most clients do because it’s the cleanest way to make sure we’re solving the right problem, but you can engage us directly for a specific service. We’ll still ask a few questions about your goals and current state before we start, since that context helps us do better work.
That’s totally fine. Plenty of clients come to us for ads only, or for a Media Day and nothing else. The framework is how we think about marketing as a whole, not a package you have to buy in full. The quality of the work doesn’t change based on scope.
The Snapshot is a paid deliverable, which means we can spend real time on it and give you honest recommendations, including ones you can do yourself. Free audits are usually built to point you toward a retainer. The Snapshot is built to give you a useful document, whether you keep working with us or not.
It depends on what the Snapshot finds. Some clients move into a full retainer covering several framework stages. Others run a focused project on one stage. We build the engagement around the recommendations, not a fixed package, so the scope matches what your business actually needs.
It depends on the stage. Paid ads can move numbers within a few weeks. Content and SEO build over months. Lifecycle automation pays off as your audience grows. The Snapshot gives you realistic timelines for your specific situation, so you’ll know what to expect before you commit to anything.
We work best with established businesses that have some marketing infrastructure already in place and want it working harder. If you’re pre-revenue or just launching, we can usually point you to better-fit resources. The Snapshot conversation is the easiest way to find out for sure.
That comes up often, and it’s not a problem. The Snapshot is a useful second opinion regardless of who you keep working with afterward. We’ve had clients run the Snapshot, take the recommendations to their existing agency, and stay there. That’s a fine outcome for us.
We’re based in Portland, Oregon, and we work with clients across the US. Most of our communication is remote. For Media Days and select projects, we travel to you.
