The Marketing Refresh Framework
Stop Guessing.
Start Scaling.
Refresh Your Marketing Approach
Established businesses with a disconnected marketing approach lack clarity. When activity is high, but the results are blurry, and no one can connect spending to revenue. Our goal is to fix that by gaining clarity through analyzing your strategy; what is working, what isn’t, and developing an actionable roadmap so we don’t have to guess, and you know exactly what you’re investing your time and money into.

A Marketing Plan Built Around Your Business.
The Refresh Framework
After years of working with established businesses across industries, we’ve learned that the marketing problems that look unique on the surface usually aren’t. The names change. The patterns don’t.
What changes is which patterns are showing up in your business right now, which ones are costing you the most, and which ones are quietly working better than anyone realizes. That’s where we start: not with assumptions about what your business needs, but with a clear-eyed look at what’s actually happening.
Why this works: Establishes credibility through pattern recognition rather than through a list of capabilities. Says “we know this terrain” without bragging. Sets up the next section by promising a clear-eyed look.
How we think about marketing.
Most marketing fails for one of two reasons: nobody knows what’s actually working, or everyone knows what’s working and isn’t doing enough of it. Both problems are solvable. Both require the same first move, which is getting an honest read on the current state of things.
We work in five connected stages that build on each other. We diagnose what’s happening now. We build the foundation your marketing needs to perform. We get your brand in front of the right people. We turn that attention into customers. And we measure all of it so we know what to do next.
It’s not a rigid checklist. It’s a way of thinking that keeps every piece of work tied to the outcome you actually care about.

Sound Familiar?
You’ve Probably
Been Here Before
You hired an agency. They built a plan, ran some campaigns, sent monthly reports full of numbers that didn’t quite answer your actual question: is this working? Maybe results came in, maybe they didn’t, but either way, you couldn’t tell why.
That’s not a you problem. It’s how most agencies are built. They sell services in isolation, optimize for the metrics that make them look good, and treat your marketing like a collection of activities instead of a connected system that’s supposed to grow your business.

Common Questions
Not at all. Most clients do because it’s the cleanest way to make sure we’re solving the right problem, but you can engage us directly for a specific service. We’ll still ask a few questions about your goals and current state before we start, since that context helps us do better work.
That’s totally fine. Plenty of clients come to us for ads only, or for a Media Day and nothing else. The framework is how we think about marketing as a whole, not a package you have to buy in full. The quality of the work doesn’t change based on scope.
The Snapshot is a paid deliverable, which means we can spend real time on it and give you honest recommendations, including ones you can do yourself. Free audits are usually built to point you toward a retainer. The Snapshot is built to give you a useful document, whether you keep working with us or not.
It depends on what the Snapshot finds. Some clients move into a full retainer covering several framework stages. Others run a focused project on one stage. We build the engagement around the recommendations, not a fixed package, so the scope matches what your business actually needs.
It depends on the stage. Paid ads can move numbers within a few weeks. Content and SEO build over months. Lifecycle automation pays off as your audience grows. The Snapshot gives you realistic timelines for your specific situation, so you’ll know what to expect before you commit to anything.
We work best with established businesses that have some marketing infrastructure already in place and want it working harder. If you’re pre-revenue or just launching, we can usually point you to better-fit resources. The Snapshot conversation is the easiest way to find out for sure.
That comes up often, and it’s not a problem. The Snapshot is a useful second opinion regardless of who you keep working with afterward. We’ve had clients run the Snapshot, take the recommendations to their existing agency, and stay there. That’s a fine outcome for us.
We’re based in Portland, Oregon, and we work with clients across the US. Most of our communication is remote. For Media Days and select projects, we travel to you.
